Abbas Imani-Moqaddam, the company’s managing director, said the machinery is designed and produced relying on local expertise and is sold at a quarter of the price of similar foreign-made machinery.

“The machinery which is produced by Arvin Sanat Kaveh Company is used in oil and gas, rail, and aerospace industries,” he said, adding that the international relations department of the company is seriously negotiating to find overseas markets.

He went on to say that sanctions provide the company with the opportunity to invest in indigenizing technology for manufacturing the products benefiting from local manpower and knowledge.

The company was established in 2022 at the science and technology park of Markazi province in the Central part of the country. Purchasing of raw materials, and all procedures related to production are based on international standards. So, compared with foreign-made machinery, maintenance costs will be much lower and after-sale services will be more available.

More than 7,000 knowledge-based companies have so far been registered and are now operating across the country.

The companies are mainly active in the fields of biotechnology, agriculture, food, steel, gas, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, oil, electronics, telecommunications, information technology, and computer.

New approaches have been taken to support knowledge-based companies both in terms of quality and quantity in line with realizing the goal of a knowledge-based economy.
